What are the days and places of the market ?

Coraline et Léo

At the market, stock up on fresh local produce sold by Norman producers.

Fruit, vegetables, Norman cheeses, local meats… you’ll find everything you need to fill your basket at the local markets.

They’ll be showcasing their specialities, fresh Normandy produce and tasty seasonal dishes for the whole family to enjoy.

Tuesdays

  • Courseulles-sur-Mer market, Place du Marché under the market hall and rue de la Mer, 50 to 60 stallholders : this is one of the biggest weekly markets, well known to the locals.

Wednesdays

  • Bernières-sur-Mer market, Place de l’église, 3 stallholders.
  • Douvres-la-Délivrande market, Place Lelièvre, 12 stallholders : market held at the end of the day from 4pm to 8pm, an ideal time to fill your basket with local produce after an afternoon at the beach.

Thursdays

  • Saint-Aubin-sur-mer market (in july and August), Place de la Gare.

Fridays

  • Courseulles-sur-Mer market, Place du Marché under the market hall and rue de la Mer, 50 to 60 stallholders.
  • Langrune-sur-Mer market, Place du Marché, 3 to 4 stallholders.

Saturdays

  • Bernières-sur-Mer market, rue Victor Tesnière, 3 to 4 stallholders.
  • Luc-sur-Mer market, Boulevard de la République, 3 to 10 stallholders.
  • Basly market, Place Bud Hannam, 3 to 4 stallholders : this market in the centre of town sells seasonal fruit and vegetables.

Sundays

  • Courseulles-sur-mer market (in July and August), Quai des Alliés.
  • Saint-Aubin-sur-mer market, 20-30 stallholders : a must on Sunday mornings, this small market allows you to do all your shopping: vegetables, fish, cheeses, organic vegetables, meat, cider, honey or local strawberries.

The Courseulles-sur-Mer fish market is open every morning of the year on the fishing port

Sole, ray wings, mackerel, sea bream, sea bass… you’ll find all the fish our coast has to offer.

As for seafood, you’ll find mussels, oysters from Asnelles-Meuvaines, crab, periwinkles and more in your basket.

If you like scallops, you’ll find them on the market from October to May.

The scallop festival is held every November in the port of Courseulles-sur-Mer.
