Description

Join us for an extraordinary final evening as part of the Janvier Musiq'Halle festival.

In this concert-reading, pianist Hélène Tysman and actor Dominique Pinon combine their voices and their arts to make Maurice Ravel's universe resonate through the chiselled prose of Jean Echenoz.

On the programme: a dialogue between Ravel's music and Jean Echenoz's writing. This creation combines piano works by Maurice Ravel with extracts from Jean Echenoz's book Ravel, an "unscrupulous biographical fiction" retracing the last ten years of the composer's life. The performance is based on a sensitive weave between the reading of the text by Dominique Pinon (Echenoz's familiar voice) and the piano performance by Hélène Tysman.

Following this, the group The End of the ISS prepare a concert of experimental rock.

After the show, the audience will be invited to move into the Casino restaurant, where a buffet will be served before the second part of the programme.
