How do the tides work?
Ah, very good question! In our region, on the Normandy coast, the sea rises and falls twice a day, this is called the tide. The movement of the tides is explained by the attraction of the moon which attracts the oceans and seas like a magnet.
This phenomenon is more or less reinforced by the rotation of the Earth and by the Sun.

When the tide comes in, it is the ideal time to swim and enjoy the fine sandy beaches. From the lifeguard posts, the lifeguards watch over you every summer for a safe swim.
