What fatbike tours are available near Courseulles-sur-Mer and Luc-sur-Mer?
The Vélomaritime: this 1,200-kilometer cycle route runs along the English Channel coast from Roscoff to Dunkirk, crossing 11 kilometers of the Coeur de Nacre destination. With a fatbike, you can ride on the sand at low tide.
Be careful, however, to respect the flora and fauna of the foreshore.

Dirt roads: these paths, often lined with hedges, are more technical and will delight sports enthusiasts looking for a thrill.
Please note: regulations do not allow access to beaches, please also respect the flora and fauna along your route.
A few tips before you leave:
- Adapt your itinerary: choose your circuit according to your level and your desires. If you’re a beginner, choose beaches at low tide or towpaths, as explained above.
- Equip yourself with a helmet, gloves, sunglasses and a water bottle. Our tourist offices are marked “Accueil vélo” and can supply you with water if you need it.
- Find out about the tides: if you want to ride on the beaches, it’s important to find out about the tide times.
- Respect the environment: don’t leave garbage behind and respect the local flora and fauna. Don’t drive on the beach.
