Les Amis du Platon The association "Les Amis du Platon" aims to preserve and promote the natural heritage of Bernières. This also means learning more about the natural phenomena that can have an impact on our environment. On 28 February 2010, storm Xynthia caused flooding at Bernières, but the consequences were limited. On Saturday 28 February 2026, the Friends of the Platon are organising a "Tour of the Bernières coastline", looking at its nature, history and possible future development.
