Description

In 2021, we completely renovated this house built in 1836 and its garden to make it a guest house and share our taste for the Côte de Nacre and its history. Located in the village of Saint-Aubin sur Mer, the villa is 100 m from the beach, the sea wall with its cafés and restaurants. The decoration of each of the 4 rooms combines design and vintage to evoke one of the decades of the "thirty glorious years" until the "70s". The breakfast is composed of regional products or prepared on the spot. We will be very happy to meet you and guide you, if you wish, to take advantage of the tourist and cultural resources of the region. See you soon!

Room 60's : optimism and standard of living are at their peak: consumer society becomes the subject of culture, of "pop art". Opposite the entrance, two Marilyns welcome you: one, cut out by Rancillac, and a silk-screen print by Andy Warhol who was experimenting with the multiplication of works and the use of everyday images. The May 68 poster is stamped "atelier populaire - ex école des beaux arts". At this time Picasso continued to produce and exhibit (see the poster for the exhibition of a series of linocuts on bullfighting). The modernity of the bathroom and the separate toilets brings you back to the comfort of the 2020's This room can accommodate people with reduced mobility.
