Description

An event aimed at families with children as part of the “Les Étonnants Patrimoines” initiative.

Wednesdays in July and August 2026 E.P. tours start at 10.15 am or 2.30 pm – see the calendar on our website. The activity is designed to be fun, hands-on and sensory for the whole family, for both adults and children (recommended for ages 8 and over), allowing them to learn whilst having fun! A packed programme!

In detail: On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your host and introduced to your small tour group of up to twenty people.

They will take you on the tour, which includes a presentation of the ‘Distelfink’ radar station, its history and its role – all delivered in an interactive format suitable for both children and adults – leading up to the main activity.

During this interactive session, your host will invite you to handle everyday objects, soldiers’ equipment and communications gear that might have been present at the station in 1944.

It’s sure to make this visit an unforgettable experience!
