Description
When the sea recedes at Langrune-sur-Mer, it reveals a fascinating and unexpected playground: the foreshore. Much more than just a walk, the Sailing School invites you to immerse yourself in the heart of the local marine biodiversity.
An adventure for explorers of all ages
Accompanied by our passionate guides, you will learn to ‘read’ the beach. Under every rock, in every puddle, there is a miniature world just waiting to be observed.
Learn to spot: Look for the water jet of a razor clam or the crab hidden under the seaweed.
Understanding the ecosystem: Discover the lifestyle of crabs, brown shrimp and various shellfish.
Responsible fishing: We teach you the right techniques (minimum sizes, replacing rocks) to preserve our coastline.
-Your beach bag: what to bring
To make the most of your outing, here's what to pack in your bag:
Footwear: Shoes suitable for walking in water (old trainers or reef shoes) to avoid slipping or injuring yourself on the rocks.
Sun protection: Even if the sea air is cool, the glare is strong. Don't forget your sun cream and sunglasses.
Against the elements: The wind can be strong on the foreshore! Bring a windbreaker and a fleece to keep you warm.
That little extra comfort: Wetsuits are provided by the club, guaranteeing you perfect insulation.
