Description
The D-Day Wings Museum is the only museum in Normandy devoted to D-Day aircraft and air operations (apart from airborne operations). Yet mastery of the skies was essential to the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy.
You will learn a great deal about the air missions of D-Day, and about the aircraft and personnel of the air force.
The museum also aims to show you all the aircraft used on D-Day.
You'll be able to sit in a fighter cockpit, climb into a bomber turret, and so on - all real-life experiences that will leave you with lasting, tangible memories of what it was like to fight in the air.
