21st edition of “Acadian Week”: as part of the “Life in the 18th Century” theme day in Sur-Mer, a book signing and sale of “Normandie Nouvelle-France”, which has just been published by In Octavo Editions

This work, produced by more than twenty authors from the Société des Écrivains Normands, bears witness to their deep attachment to Canada, and more particularly to Quebec, an attachment fuelled by the dreams of conquest of the kings of France, long ago. The bonds forged by sailors, settlers, coureurs des bois and missionaries from our Norman regions have endured in the collective consciousness and have been renewed through historical, religious and cultural factors that our writers have been eager to explore.
