Small chapels, churches and pilgrimage sites invite you on a rich and inspiring inner journey.
Whether you are a believer, curious about history or seeking serenity, cultural and religious tourism takes on its full meaning here in Normandy, and more particularly in Douvres-la-Délivrande.
A place of spirituality, Douvres-la-Délivrande is the oldest Marian pilgrimage site in Normandy.
The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Douvres is a major stop for pilgrims on their way to Mont-Saint-Michel and a key religious site in Normandy.
Douvres-la-Délivrande, a must-see religious site in Normandy

Douvres-la-Délivrande is ideally located in Normandy, close to Caen and Bayeux, and 2 hours 45 minutes from Paris.
The village is an essential pilgrimage site dedicated to the Virgin Mary, located between Lisieux and Mont-Saint-Michel.
Its easy access and range of accommodation and dining options make it a favourite destination for recharging your batteries.
The Basilica of Notre-Dame (home to the Black Madonna) and the Lalique Chapel are among the must-see places for contemplation, just a stone’s throw from the D-Day beaches.
They are also two sites of great historical and architectural interest.
