La Cantellerie is a magnificent manor house built in 1868 in the most beautiful street of Courseulles. It offers the charm of an old family house and the calm of its garden in the heart of the town. This garden where so many birds come to rest and feed, to which La Cantellerie owes its name: "the song of the birds". Shops, restaurants, the beach and the port are a few minutes away on foot; the house is ideally situated for a relaxing stay, but also for culture: the Juno Beach centre, dedicated to our dear Canadian friends who came (all volunteers!!) to liberate France, is accessible on foot, the American or English beaches are a few kilometres away. Bayeux and its tapestry are also a 20 minute drive away. And why not go to Mont Saint Michel for the day? Entirely and recently renovated, the house has 5 bedrooms, including 2 family suites and 1 bedroom for 3 people, all with bathroom and WC; at the entrance to the property our little gîte is aptly named "Le Nid", a real cocoon for lovers of peace and independence! On the ground floor of the main building, the common areas await you: large dining room for breakfasts and dinners, living rooms, ... we want our house to be yours during your stay. In the garden, armchairs and deckchairs await you in summer after a busy day for a pleasant moment of relaxation. We pay particular attention to our breakfasts, and our guests appreciate this special moment: yoghurts, fruit salad, granola, jams, fresh fruit juices, ... everything is home-made. The bread is also homemade on certain days. And for those with a sweet tooth, we can offer an organic fried egg on request, why not accompanied by ham or cheese. Homemade rice pudding or homemade egg cream sometimes complete the long list. We serve breakfast in the large dining room where all our guests gather. On reservation, La Cantellerie also offers you a table d'hôtes, with a fresh and honest cuisine based on regional products, family style but sometimes more daring: fresh fish, scallops in season, local cheeses, homemade desserts, ... Cooking is our second passion. In summer, our guests can access our cabin to better enjoy the beach and change more easily. Sometimes we even serve dinners or simple platters of oysters or seafood to admire the sunset while sipping a glass of fresh white wine.
