In Plumetot, heritage comes to life through music and poetry

On Sunday 20 September, Plumetot invites residents and visitors alike to come and discover its heritage in a different way, as part of the European Heritage Days. In the heart of the village, Saint-Samson Church will be the setting for an afternoon dedicated to discovery, culture and conviviality.

An iconic church to discover in a new light At 2.30 pm, a free guided tour of Saint-Samson Church will give the public the chance to uncover the secrets of this iconic Plumetot landmark.

The tour will be led by Michel Boulard, former chairman of the Association for the Promotion and Preservation of Plumetot’s Heritage, who will share the history and unique features of this local heritage site with participants.

It’s an opportunity to step inside the church, but above all to take a fresh look at a building that forms part of the village’s identity and history.

A musical and poetic performance at 4 pm At 4 pm, step into a whole new world with a musical and poetic performance by the duo Quartier Libre, featuring young people from Plumetot.

Held in Saint-Samson Church, this event will blend music, poetry and local participation to offer the audience an accessible and welcoming cultural experience.

Admission to the show will be by voluntary donation, and it will be followed by refreshments, allowing the conversation to continue in a friendly atmosphere.

An afternoon to bring heritage to life With this programme, Plumetot aims to make the European Heritage Days a genuine opportunity to come together around its history and local life.

Visit, listen, share: heritage isn’t just something to look at, it’s something to experience. Villagers, families, history enthusiasts and passing visitors are all invited to come along in large numbers to enjoy this cultural afternoon in the heart of Plumetot.
