Description
The exhibition Une armada sous les flots: les épaves du Débarquement de Normandie (An armada under the waves: the wrecks of the Normandy landings) invites visitors to discover the 150 or so underwater remains that still lie off the D-Day beaches and bear witness to this event. It illustrates the research carried out over the last thirty years by amateur divers, but also by American, British and Canadian archaeologists and hydrographers, and more recently by the French Ministry of Culture's Department of Underwater Archaeological Research (DRASSM). An event proposed by the Normandy Region and the DRASSM.
