Description
Arnaud Guérin, geologist, naturalist, author and professional photographer will present an exhibition: "Oiseaux de l?Extrême, Voyages en Haute Mer".
For over 25 years, Arnaud Guérin has traveled the world, camera in hand, to capture the raw splendor of nature. His passion for the Earth and nature first manifested itself in the study of volcanoes, before extending to marine and coastal ecosystems. As a scientific mediator, he uses photography as a genuine tool for raising awareness, arousing strong emotions and revealing the often little-known treasures of our planet.
Oiseaux de l?Extrême : voyages en haute mer from April 12 to June 1 at La Halle. Opening at 7pm on April 18, followed by a lecture at 8pm at La Halle. A guided tour at 3pm will also be led by Arnaud Guérin on the same day.
This exhibition, in partnership with Delachaux et Niestlé, Montier festival photo and ColorPix, plunges visitors into the fascinating world of seabirds such as albatrosses, puffins, penguins, terns, petrels and frigatebirds. Arnaud Guérin shares his encounters with these extraordinary creatures, observed during his expeditions from the Falklands to New Zealand, via Iceland, the Channel Islands and the Svalbard archipelago. Beyond their visual beauty, the exhibition highlights the precarious balance in which these birds live, symbols of resilience and adaptation in the face of the most extreme conditions.
