Description

The Juno Beach Centre is delighted to welcome historian Frédéric Smith, author of Des Québécois en Normandie (Ed du Boréal), for an exceptional lecture on the contribution of Quebec soldiers during the Battle of Normandy.

Through the careers of such outstanding figures as parachutist Philippe Rousseau, tanker Léo Gariépy, nurse Paule Vallée and soldier Gérard Doré, Frédéric Smith will reveal the many realities experienced by these men and women.

He will also highlight the essential role played by French-Canadian units: the Régiment de la Chaudière, the Régiment de Maisonneuve, the Fusiliers Mont-Royal and the 4th Medium Artillery Regiment.

The lecture will be followed by a signing session
